I am super (super) excited to announce my Spring Mini Sessions! There will be 6 time slots available on Saturday, May 11th, and 6 on Sunday, May 12th.  I have two different gorgeous locations in mind, and simply cannot decide on which one, so for now, the location is TBA!! I wanted to keep the cost down, so I am only charging $50. That price will include 5 high res digital images, however, your entire session WILL be available for purchase! Contact me for more info!

There are a few changes on the horizon for Christy Rice Photography, and I want to share my heart with you here.

Firstly, I want to thank my current and future clients, from the bottom of my heart, for your interest, support, and love for me and my work! I am constantly blown away by your praise and sweet comments. Really. I don’t just say that. Sometimes I have those “OH MY GOSH THIS PICTURE IS AMAZING AND I AM OVER THE MOON EXCITED RIGHT NOW” moments and I have no idea if other people will agree with me… I never assume that others may see an image the way I do! When you express interest or  love for one of my photos, I get that giddy, breathlessly happy feeling in my stomach, every. single. time. So, thanks for your interest and for spending hard earned money to invest in photos captured from my point of view. I humbly and deeply appreciate it.

And now for a bit of tough business. Argh. The time has come. That dreaded, frustrating, yet inevitable stage of business in which the difficult decision is  made, with regret, (at least in my case) to raise prices. This has been, hands down, the hardest business decision I’ve had to make to date, and I’ve procrastinated against it for as long as humanly possible. If you know me, you know that photography is a great love and passion of mine. I do it because I enjoy it. I am constantly attempting to capture that interesting angle, that beautiful ray of light, shy smile, hilarious moment. If I could, I’d do sessions completely free of charge, simply for fun and for the warm fuzzies I get when you are excited about your images. That in itself is fulfilling to me and brings such joy! However, if I did it for free, I would not have enough time to spend with my family and loved ones. I must be able to cover the general overhead of the business and the upkeep of equipment, as well as my time and editing. Even as I raise my prices, I am charging as little as I can manage. I truly hope you stick with me on your journey through life as we capture those special moments together!

That being said, there are a few options to help with the higher cost! A great way to get a few awesome shots without doing a full session is through my Spring Mini Sessions. For $50, you get 5 high res digital images, and it’s only a 20 minute time slot. No need to feel like you have to spend an entire afternoon on pictures, it’s quick and painless, I promise!! 🙂 Also, the entire session WILL be available for purchase or you can purchase additional pictures a la carte. Contact me for that pricing. Secondly, to honor my amazing clients, both current and future, I am excited to offer a  10% discount off your total session cost if you book a full session before May 8th, one month from today!!! Without you, my business wouldn’t be anywhere close to what it is now. More importantly, I have so thoroughly enjoyed all the sessions we have had over the past year (I’m so proud of all the beautiful images we have made together), and I absolutely cannot wait for those to come.

My amazing, hilarious, beautiful, wonderful, (did I mention amazing?) sister, whom I love so much, is getting married this June! I was beyond honored to do her engagement session while she and her insanely cool fiance were here for the holidays! To say that they are SO MUCH FUN is an understatement! Love them both!!!

This family… oh my. Where do I start?! They are wonderful!!! Friends and clients both. What a blessing to be able to take pictures of such beautiful, sweet people!!! I did their first session last summer and was so excited to work with them again. They have always supported my business and have been such blessings to me!

This session was originally planned to be an outdoor snow session, but this winter day ended up being a balmy 60 degrees and rainy!!! We opted for an indoor session at one of my favorite naturally lit locations. I can’t believe Isaac is already 3, and Naomi 1 year old! HOW?!
