The Esbers {Columbus Ohio Family and Child Photographer)

I absolutely adore this family. Our sessions, like our friendship, are fun and easy going, and I love them! I could follow Mister Miles around all day and capture his boyish curiosity and fascination with planes, trucks, bugs, and the world in general. Thanks Kelsey, Patrick and Miles for another super fun, sweet session!!! <3

Daniel {Columbus Ohio Senior Photographer}

I had the privilege of doing Daniel’s senior photography last fall! (Finally getting around to updating the blog! YAY!) It was an amazing session and I had a blast with his whole family. They are all amazing, wonderful people and I hope to work with them again in the future! Thanks for braving the thick, pokey  fields of high grasses and letting me try all sorts of ideas, Daniel!

Fall – Beautiful Fall! {Columbus Ohio Family and Child Photographer}

I have been really busy with sessions this fall so far, and November is even more packed than October was! I am loving it! I must say, although I am a California girl at heart, I will always love the change of season in the midwest. I don’t particularly enjoy winter anymore, but Spring and Fall are just beautiful. Beyond gorgeous. My little one and I had fun on an impromptu photo shoot today – to enjoy the fall colors before they are gone. I will be blogging my recent sessions soon, but for now – enjoy some fall color! <3

Hurray for tripods! The human tripod (my wonderful husband) that is usually around was out of town today so we experimented with the ACTUAL tripod. :p)

Her double jointedness shows pretty obviously here – ha! I love the rest of this shot though, so I had to post it.

Enjoying the last of summer {Columbus Ohio Child and Family Photographer}

It has been awhile since my 5 year old and I have had a photo adventure. We often drive around, scouting new photo spots, hiking, and taking photos along the way. This time we only had an hour or so before sunset, so we started out, inspired and in good spirits. Just one hour later, after multiple ugly crying melt downs, thorn removal surgeries, bleeding hang nails, a lost lens cap, and other ridiculousness, we managed to snap a few photos. Sometimes things just don’t go as planned but what can we do but roll with it?! Such is life, that’s what I say! Real life is not always sunshine and rainbows, but there are always good things to be thankful for, praise God for that. My sweet girl is such a good sport, humoring her snap-happy mama (aka, I am always taking pictures)! We usually have a lot of fun on our adventures, so they are not always filled with melt downs and nursing boo-boos. Although, the poor thing is awfully accident prone (and not just because she’s a kid and learning how to be coordinated).. I’m fairly sure she gets that from me. Sigh. So here are a few shots from our (almost failed) little excursion, which I hope to continue tomorrow night. Who knows what fun we will have! :p
